Twinkling Stars Project - On 4th September 2014 Charlotte Bassett-Rogers gave birth to Blake Peton Bassett-Rogers who was stillborn at 25 weeks. In Blake's memory Charlotte and her two sisters Leigh Knight and Georgina Varnals set up Twinkling Stars Project under the East Kent Hospitals Charity, to raise funds and awareness in order to create a dedicated bereavement suite at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
This project received a huge amount of support from the local community. Thanks to generous donors and devoted fundraisers, the new Twinkling Stars Suite has now received its official opening.
The story does not end here... The suite will need charitable support to keep it looking as good as new. The funds will be used to replace the soft furnishings, decorations and toiletries as and when required.
Moving forward, the room where bereavement counselling takes place is in need of a refresh. With the help of charitable funding this room can be transformed.
