This partnership is particularly meaningful as it is built on WW Martin’s extensive work with 2gether Support Solutions and East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. Their experience of working within live healthcare environments brings a strong understanding of the pressures faced daily by patients, families, and clinical teams, and highlights the vital role charitable funding plays in enhancing care and wellbeing alongside essential clinical services.

Throughout 2026, joint fundraising activity will focus on dementia-related initiatives across our hospitals, supporting an area of care that is increasingly important. Funds raised will help the charity deliver specialised projects, activity resources, and engaging therapies that aim to improve hospital experiences for people living with dementia.

Dementia affects not only those diagnosed, but also their loved ones and the healthcare professionals who care for them. Hospital environments can be unfamiliar and challenging, and charitable support enables us to create more compassionate, supportive spaces that address emotional wellbeing as well as clinical needs.

This renewed partnership builds on the charity’s successful work together in 2024, when WW Martin supported fundraising initiatives for our Special Care Baby Unit.

Reflecting on the partnership, Dee Neligan, Head of Charity, said:

“WW Martin has supported us for several years, and we are delighted to be working with them again as charity partners. Their previous fundraising made a genuine difference within our hospitals, and we look forward to collaborating once more to deliver meaningful projects that support patients living with dementia.”
