Christmas Stars Appeal

You can include:

• The name of a loved one

• A message of remembrance

• A message of hope, gratitude or celebration

• A short festive message

All messages must be respectful and suitable for display in a public hospital setting. Please ensure all spellings are correct when ordering as we are not responsible for any errors.

We reserve the right to refuse or remove any dedication that contains:

• Offensive, abusive or discriminatory language

• Political statements or campaigning messages

• Hateful, threatening or inappropriate content

• Promotional or commercial messages

• Content that may cause distress to others

If a message is deemed unsuitable, we may contact you to request an alternative. Donations are non-refundable.

Your personalised message can be up to 25 characters long, including spaces and punctuation.

You have until the 22nd November to complete your order. Any stars not ordered in time may not be displayed.

Yes. When ordering your star, you can choose one of the following hospital sites:

• Kent & Canterbury Hospital (KCH)

• Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital (QEQM)

• William Harvey Hospital (WHH)

• Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH)

• Buckland Hospital (BH)

Yes. Switch-on events will take place at:

• William Harvey Hospital (WHH) on Tuesday 1st December at 4.30pm

• Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital (QEQM) St Peters Road Entrance Thursday 3rd December at 4.30pm

• Kent & Canterbury Hospital (KCH) Memorial Garden opposite 1937 Building Friday 4th December at 4.30pm

Once your star has been attached to the display tree, East Kent Hospitals Charity cannot take responsibility for any loss, damage, deterioration, removal or movement of the star caused by weather conditions, vandalism, theft, maintenance activities or other circumstances beyond our control.

While we will take reasonable care when preparing and installing stars, we cannot guarantee their condition throughout the display period. Stars will not be returned to supporters after the appeal and may be recycled or disposed of following the end of the campaign upon removal of the trees before New Year.

Donations are non-refundable.

Absolutely. You are welcome to dedicate multiple stars in memory of different loved ones or to share several messages of support. Each donation = one star.

Every donation supports East Kent Hospitals Charity, helping fund projects, equipment, wellbeing initiatives and enhancements that go above and beyond NHS funding for patients, families and staff across East Kent.
