The charity established the Helping Your Hospitals Appeal in March 2020, and received overwhelming support from our amazing communities and local businesses.

The donations, together with grants from NHS Charities Together, has allowed our charity to fund a range of projects, from care packages to supporting the Take 5 rooms.

Senior charity officer Dee Neligan said: “The past year has taken a toll on the mental health of people across the country, and it has been a particular challenge for staff on the frontline of the pandemic.

“Thanks to the fantastic support of our local businesses, groups and individuals we have been able to spent more than a quarter of a million pounds on supporting Trust and 2gether staff wellbeing.

“As we mark Mental Health Awareness Week I hope teams will be reassured that there is support available for anyone who needs it, and it really is okay not to be okay.”

Examples of how the funding has been spent include:

The charity also co-ordinated donations such as food, toiletries and other treats that were given to our staff throughout the pandemic.
